It’s been almost 7 years since I stepped into my first hot yoga class – I was happy, at peace and in love from the 1st minute and couldn’t believe it took me so long to work up the courage to attend. 7 years later I’m still attending Grace Dubery’s classes but last saturday I had the honour of being at her most powerful one yet at the Lole white yoga session held at Fort York.

Approx 2000 people gathered from all walks of life dressed in white to share the spirit of peace together. From the second Grace started the class it started to rain and the rain just got stronger and stronger. You would think in that moment people would run for cover but I’m assuming they all felt the same way I did – this was how it was meant to be. My wet feet resting on the mat, the smell of wet grass filling the air, the heat from the sun still being felt, drops of rain falling onto my every being – if you can’t feel one with nature during an experience like that when can you.

What I loved the most was that there were so many different types of people coming together, all races, mixes, sizes, shapes, genders all mashed up together raising their hearts to the sky for one common experience. We are one and at times it’s hard to remember that but events like this really help us see that message.

Lole had a huge camera crew with amazing cameras flying through the air capturing the scene. There are some truly amazing photos on their Facebook page, around the web and a great video recap at the end of this post.

The Lole White Yoga Tour is in Montreal on July 27 and dates for Santa Barbara and Paris are coming soon. I wonder how I can justify attending the Paris session? I might need to make that happen.

If you are in Toronto check out their new store in Yorkville or you can find any of their products at stores listed here.
